A J King (pen name of Amanda Jayne Nicholson) - Mandy to her friends and readers, was born and raised in Manchester but dragged kicking and screaming to Wooler in Northumberland aged 16. Completing her A-Levels in Berwick, then heading off to Uni in Edinburgh to study Art, she ended up having a colourful and varied career in retail before returning to the creative arts. She is now a coach to creative women, an artist and an author who tells stories based on real-life events. Her astonishing and transformational life experience is the driving force for her creative work. Her mission is to help 1000's of creative women to step into their power and learn to make money from their area of genius, be it writing, painting or any other creative pursuit.
