Biography Alicia O. Godmasch Alicia has always had an affinity for the entertainment industry and had a heavy influence of the business from childhood. Her late uncle Wilmer Ames Jr. was editor in chief of Emerge Magazine until his death in 1993. Another uncle of hers, Herbert K. Ames became the first African American model for Sears Corporation and later CEO and Founder of First Choice Bank. He continues to have strong ties in the business. These two relatives played a vital role in shaping her choice of career later on in life along with her brother Ronald Thomas who is an actor and voice over artist in Connecticut. Alicia is a Magna cum laude graduate from Fairleigh Dickinson University located in Madison, New Jersey. Her major was Business Management. Throughout her college years, she took on extra roles in various film productions for extra income. Upon graduation, she became a successful International Financial Consultant and later on she switched over to marketing where she became a Certified Meeting Professional and Marketing Director. She traveled the globe overseeing marketing divisions and organizing large scale meetings and events for some of the world’s most successful multinational companies. In 2013, she moved to Atlanta and decided to transition into the Entertainment Industry. The moment came when she was selected to be First Assistant Director in an AMAZON PRIME television series called SYN. A few months into the project, she was promoted to Production Manager and eventually Executive Producer. From there she affiliated herself with the Atlanta based production company Swirl Films as a Location Manager for various projects airing on BET, LIFETIME NETWORK, WE, BOUNCE, TV ONE and more. Shortly thereafter, Alicia also began working with Crazy Legs Productions as a Location Scout for their projects airing on INVESTIGATION DISCOVERY. Recently, in 2018 she teamed up as Executive Producer with incredible Writer and Director Timothy E. Burke who is the CEO of The Bigger Picture Films. They are currently working on a slate of jaw dropping projects including the SciFi/Adventure/Fantasy film Planet X: Gold of the Gods with Co-Director Jeff Habberstad from the Marvel Universe. Alicia loves writing screenplays and has another film slate that she is developing with her business partner, and co-owner of their film production company Maswell Films, Joe Howell who is an American business executive and award-winning producer. Retrograde: The Darkness marks the first novel series that Alicia has written. Her writing is heavily influenced by her having spent a number of years living abroad in places such as Germany, Malta, Switzerland, Italy and the Czech Republic. She also speaks a total of three languages (German, Italian and English) and is married to German corporate Controller Andreas Godmasch.
