I have always been notoriously bad when talking about myself. This will not be an exception. I grew up in Nebraska and Ohio and was basically normal as far as I can tell. I graduated in 1989 from Kenyon College with a BA in mathematics, not a BS. After that I moved to Dallas and taught college level math to 4th through 8th grades for six years. Those were good times. I met my beautiful future wife in 1992 when I was late getting to work, we married in 1996. I've been a teacher, an engineer, programmer, executive, start-up founder, tech guy, smart guy in the room, and a consultant in my life. I got my MBA from Southern Methodist University in 2013 through their executive program. I've always been fascinated by the process of learning, and how some people are just better at some things than others. I still live in Dallas with my wife and three wonderful kids.
