Brandon was an excellent football player formerly recognized as the nation's 7th best running back prospect. Despite tearing his ACL in both knees in high school, Brandon earned a letter as a true Freshman at the University of Miami (FL), better known as the "U." Due to his perseverance and relentless rehabilitation efforts, Brandon appeared in seven games during his Freshman season for the Canes – a program that has won five national championships. When Miami's coaching staff changed after his Freshman season, Brandon transferred to Lehigh University in hopes of becoming the starting tailback for a division 1 program. When Brandon arrived on Bethlehem's campus, the Patriot League projected him to win the "Newcomer of the Year" award for the upcoming season. And Brandon was on track to make this projection a reality before his career-ending knee injury against Yale. Before this final knee injury, Brandon started the first three games of the season for the Mountain Hawks, scoring three touchdowns and rushing for 250 yards. When one dream ended for Brandon, a new one began. He always admired his father, Buddy Yosha – one of the best trial lawyers in American history – so he chose to follow in Buddy’s footsteps and pursue a career in the law. Brandon's new dream was to become just as good or better than his old man was in the courtroom. The Indiana Bar swore Brandon in on September 21, 2020. Five weeks later, on October 28, 2020, Brandon delivered an opening statement and final argument on damages in a jury trial against Indiana's largest power company, returning a $20.3 million damage verdict for the clients. The power company offered the client $50,000 at mediation. A far cry from the full justice Brandon helped secure at trial. The infamous COVID-19 pandemic paused Brandon’s desire to be in the courtroom more often after his first jury trial. During the shutdown, Brandon worked on his craft as a legal advocate and continued to learn from his mentor, Nick Rowley, who is undoubtedly the best trial lawyer in America. When Brandon finally returned to the courtroom for his second jury trial on September 26, 2022, he represented Jessica Revell and her son Sam Revell who were involved in a violent car crash. Brandon again delivered the opening statement and final argument on damages, and the jury returned a damage verdict totaling $2.2 million. The insurance company offered the Revell family $180,000 pre-litigation—another far cry from the full justice amount the Revells were entitled to recover for their injuries. Due to these incredible results so early in his career, Brandon became one of the youngest attorneys ever named in Best Lawyers in America. Shortly after the Revell trial, Brandon wrote his first book, From Running Back to Giving Back, to encourage other plaintiffs’ lawyers around the country to try more of their cases and not settle at a discount. Brandon provides real-life examples explaining how he obtained full justice for his clients. He underscores the value of embracing empathy as a trial lawyer and openly shares how he developed his empathy for others.
