Carine Géricot spends her life abroad between Reunion, Gabon, Ivory Coast, Morocco and Portugal. Art has always held a predominant place in her life. Very curious and enriched by these cultures, the encounters and testimonies have fed her imagination through video montages. Writing made a modest appearance twenty years ago: poems and songs were born. Painting courses opened a new horizon for her, 2D followed very quickly by 3D thanks to her meeting with the designer Karim Alaoui. For over twenty years she has developed a range of sculptures and decorative objects in aluminium and bronze. Nothing in life is accidental. The spark was just waiting to ignite. Carine's passion for writing took root. After 'Révélations', written two years ago, we discover Juliette's peregrinations, five years later, in Portugal, in this second novel, 'Contre toute attente' (Against all odds), offered in a French and Portuguese version.
