I spent my childhood in the tiny town of Finley in rural NSW, Australia, where I rode cows and suckled poddy calves with my fingers, until my family moved to Bendigo VIC, for my teenage years of wearing black and reading. After university I found myself working as a Criminologist in the field of human rights for the homeless, and in between times I hung out on documentary film sets. The intense study of my fellow human beings combined with a research background probably made writing novels an inevitability. But I did secure another MA from RMIT just to be sure. At the moment I live in Los Angeles with my husband and children, returning to Australia regularly.
