Over the last twenty or so career years to date, I have worked in some interesting, dynamic, hostile, and very privileged environments. I have been fortunate enough to work alongside some utterly amazing, brave, and selfless people, both in the military and civilian setting. I served for Eight years in the British Army in the elite Airborne Forces with the 7th Parachute Regiment, RHA as a junior leader. Following this in the National Health Service as a front-line emergency clinician with two NHS Ambulance Trusts and the Midlands Air Ambulance Charity. Currently employed as a registered healthcare professional for a UK rugby union charity, who provide support to catastrophically injured rugby players in England. My values and beliefs have never wavered since joining the military at sixteen years old. These values are the lifeblood of the British Army and rooted deep within me, they include courage, discipline, respect for others, integrity, loyalty, and selfless commitment. The road has been bumpy and very colourful over the years but by having these life experiences, values, and a fantastic support network around me, I have been able to overcome times of adversity. I enjoy raising money and more importantly awareness for military charities, normally by taking on gruelling physical challenges. However, this time round by writing my memoirs with the aim of helping others through my experiences, whilst honouring the special people I have had the privilege to stand shoulder to shoulder with during my career. My biggest achievement in life is my family, spending as much precious time as I can with my wonderful wife and three young boys is my passion. Watching them grow up in our peaceful little village near the Lake District where we now call home and make our family memories.
