Edward F. Torres Charfauros (1976 - Present) was born in San Diego, California, to Chamorro immigrant parents who grew up throughout various cities within San Diego County, California, before joining the U. S. Navy in 1996. He is the eldest son of two boys and a former gang member divorced with one son. For eleven years he served on board various Los Angeles class fast-attack submarines (USS La Jolla-SSN 701/USS Columbus-SSN 762/USS Key West-SSN 722) as a Culinary Specialist. In 2008, he joined the U.S. Navy Reserve as a Hull Maintenance Technician before serving in Operation Iraqi Freedom from 2009-2010 after successfully completing the U.S. Army's modified recruit training program at the Army Support Activity located at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, New Jersey. In 2013, he earned both an Associate Art in General Studies degree and Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (concentration in Management) degree attending the campus of University of Phoenix, Honolulu, Hawai'i. In 2015, he earned a certification in Health Coaching from the Institute of Integrative Nutrition. In 2018, he founded his first company, IAN SUCCESS, INC., a retail distributor with the purpose, "To better lives for positive effective change through purpose, passion, design, and innovation." Its current slogan, "Inspire, Aspire & Nourish Success" Edward is a former line-chef with P. F. Chang's China Bistro & The Cheesecake Factory. He is also a former employee with Taco Bell, McDonald's, Ace Parking, and 7-Eleven. As well as a professional photographer with various entities, such as ImportCulture.com, BabeBlvd.com, URFLiX.com, etc. Additionally, he is a currently licensed professional truck driver formerly employed as an "Over The Road" driver with Swift Transportation and Werner Enterprises whose driven throughout the lower 48 states. Edward was also nationally certified as a professional literacy tutor for Hawaii Literacy at hawaiiliteracy.org on Oahu, Hawai'i who had voluntarily tutored one adult in achieving his GED. He also volunteered at the Gerson Institute, the USO, and Meals on Wheels all in San Diego, California. He also regularly donated to the Combined Federal Campaign (CFC) and various charities throughout the past. Edward was also nationally certified as a professional literacy tutor for Hawaii Literacy at hawaiiliteracy.org on Oahu, Hawai'i whom he had voluntarily tutored one adult in achieving his GED. He also volunteered at the Gerson Institute, the USO, and Meals on Wheels all in San Diego, California. He also regularly donated to the Combined Federal Campaign (CFC) and is currently donating to various charities to this day. Edward has traveled throughout the world with several visitations throughout the past to Australia, Canada, Germany, Guam, Hong Kong, Iraq, Ireland, Kowloon, Kuwait, Macau, Japan, Okinawa, Panama, and Singapore. He has lived in Anchorage, Alaska for three months in search of employment while living with a friend. Resided on the island of Oahu, Hawai'i close to 10 years and have purchased and constructed his first four-bedroom house in Waianae, Hawai'i. He has lived in Bremerton, Washington close to two years. As well as, Kittery, Maine for over two years while married raising their newborn during his active duty Naval career enlistment. Additionally, he also lived as a transient living out of his car for four months prior to moving back to San Diego, California. Edward is currently serving as director and president of IAN SUCCESS, INC. selling many apparel brand lines designed to positively affect as many lives as possible, while passionately serving others by using his life experience and education as a life guide & health coach. I currently author various books, such as the coloring book, "Coloring Affirmations: An empowering self-nourishing coloring book for a positive change (Side A)" and its associated workbook with the same title (Side B).
