Floyd Clayton Forsberg entered the penal system at the age of 14. A bit of a hell-raiser from age 10 when his father drowned, Floyd quickly realized that the people who really understood him was not his family, but his fellow detainees at the Luther Burbank School for Boys on Mercer Island near Seattle. Floyd was bounced in and out of detention until he joined the Army at age 17, but instead of finding a promising career as a soldier, he found himself sentenced to one year at Ft. Leavenworth for what he thought was a petty theft. The pattern of recidivism continued, with the one bright spot occurring in 1966, when he met the love of his life. 46 days later, he was back in prison for bank robbery. From that point forward, Floyd had two dreams: Pull off the biggest bank robbery in history, and live happily ever after with his golden-haired goddess. But it took him a lifetime behind bars to realize that he had trapped himself in The Toughest Prison of All.
