Journalist Georg Diez is a cultural reporter for the German news magazine, Der Spiegel. He studied history, philosophy, and journalism and has also worked as a theater and literary critic. His oeuvre include books on The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Berlin, and theater, as well as a memoir on the death of his mother, and contributions to the Frankfurter Allgemeine Sunday edition, Die Zeit, and the Süddeutsche Zeitung. He has also edited a series of books about the cultural shift of the years 1980 and 1981 and founded a platform for long-form journalism, 60pages.
