Greg Stevens – Author Bio Hi, I'm Greg Stevens — entrepreneur, author, and unapologetic believer that leadership doesn't have to be boring. I wrote Effective Leadership Skills because I kept seeing talented people frustrated by outdated management styles that turn work into a chore instead of something meaningful. My mission? To help leaders stop managing like it's 1950 and start building teams that thrive in today's world. I've spent decades starting and running businesses — from publishing companies to packaging firms to even a car-detailing business where the vehicles gleamed brighter than my plans. Along the way, I made mistakes, learned from them, and realized that most leadership problems aren't about spreadsheets or strategy — they're about people. My book distills those lessons into practical tools, stories, and exercises designed to help you motivate, inspire, and maybe even enjoy the process of leading others. I take leadership seriously, but I don't take myself too seriously. You'll find humor sprinkled throughout my work because if we can't laugh about the chaos of managing people, we might cry — and no one wants that on a Tuesday morning. My approach is centered on creating trust, building relationships, and leading with empathy — all while maintaining a focus on results. Life has taught me a lot outside the boardroom, too. I've faced challenges, including Parkinson's, which forced me to rethink what resilience and adaptability really mean. Those lessons make their way into my writing, lending it a human and hopeful edge. I don't just want you to be a better leader at work — I want you to grow in life. When I'm not writing or running PappaSonicPublishing LLC, you'll find me brainstorming new projects, mentoring up-and-coming authors, or spending time with my dogs, Emma and Cooper, who are convinced they are my co-authors (they might be right). I also love walking out in the vineyards in Northern California, where I find inspiration for my next big idea. At the end of the day, I write books to make leadership less complicated and a lot more rewarding. If you're ready to ditch the dusty rulebook, laugh a little, and learn how to inspire your team without losing your sanity, you're in the right place.
