Ily Goyanes is a Cuban-American, a political moderate, an expert billiards player, a liger, and somewhat of a Zelig, but above all else she is a seeker of knowledge. She grew up on the East Coast, primarily in Miami, Florida and the Big Apple, but now lives just outside of Seattle, Washington. Goyanes writes about food, film, theater, music, lifestyle, news, and popular culture for magazines and newspapers from coast to coast. Her fiction work has appeared in several anthologies, including Best Lesbian Erotica 2012, Whole Lesbian Sex Stories, and Women with Handcuffs (all published by Cleis Press). In 2013, her previous anthology, Girls Who Score, was a Lambda Literary Award finalist and won a Golden Crown Literary Society Award.
