J. Andrew O’Donnell was born at an early age. He began writing before he could even read, resulting in his early works being complete gibberish. J. began his writing career as a columnist for the Auburn Plainsman at Auburn University in 1995, where he wrote opinion pieces for about four years. He took a brief hiatus from writing to complete his master’s degree, get a day job, and raise a family. J. continued his professional writing career after landing a gig as a network security site guide and writer for the New York Times-owned About.com. J’s work was selected multiple times to appear on the front page, and he has been featured or mentioned in a variety of publications including NBC News, Scientific American, National Geographic, and Business Insider. The Bureau of Dangerous Machines series is J’s first foray into the world of fiction.
