John Hascall has been a Public Defender in Sarpy County, Nebraska, for 18 years. Currently he is assigned to defending major cases in his office ranging from sexual assault to murder. He received his law degree at Creighton University Law School in 2002 and his undergraduate degree at the University of Nebraska at Kearney in 1999. He has spoken at Continuing Legal Education events in Nebraska and Iowa. As a boy, he loved playing video games. He first began playing the Atari at age four and then continued with the Nintendo, Super Nintendo, and Nintendo 64. He owns and plays several gaming systems. He still hosts MarioKart64 parties at his house every year around his birthday. This is his first novel.
