My name's John Aubrey Anderson. I write Christian fiction… or, better said, TRUTH IN FICTION… namely, thriller/suspense novels written to entertain and enthrall. I was born and raised in Mississippi cotton country… five miles north of the setting I chose for my first novel. Our old hometown is within a rifle shot of two rivers, a bayou, a double handful of lakes, and endless acres of woods. Add that backdrop to a culture that offered an umbrella of protection for children while allowing preteen boys to roam the countryside with firearms and fishing poles, and you come up with an environment that would provoke the envy of Tom Sawyer. In those surroundings, millions of day-by-day adventures linked themselves to become my boyhood. My wife and I met in Mrs. Smith's Kindergarten – now, with college, careers, and fifty-some-odd years of marriage behind us, we find ourselves in Texas – a short ride south of the Red River. Simply put… she's immersed in leading several women's Bible studies; I write novels about warfare – spiritual and physical – with a blending of romance. My first novel, ABIDING DARKNESS, THE BLACK OR WHITE CHRONICLES, BOOK ONE, anchors a six-part series.
