It feels like just yesterday that I decided that I wanted to be a writer but in reality it has taken me years to craft my style, experience life and finally raise 7 awesome kids. The bonus for my wife and I are the 25 grand kids, which is probably why writing the juvenile series was just a natural for me. I started writing short stories, poems, and song lyrics when I was about 14. I still have most of those first writings in my office and cherish the history in them. Why did I just now get around to publishing? I think most likely it’s just that the time feels “right” for me... here and now. My creative portfolio includes one screen play finished, but yet to be published. Also a quirky book of reflective poetry, ready to be published, and a picture book for children. My first juvenile young adult e-book, Laser O’Hara Series “The Hole in Eight Level”, is now published and available on Amazon Kindle. I enjoyed the scientific research I did for this series, being more English minded than scientific minded I really delved into interesting resources to make sure I just wasn't making stuff up. Of course there’s lots of cool fantasy intermixed with some real scientific truths. I did learn a lot and tried to incorporate it in my first e-book so it would peak the young reader’s curiosity. I hope you will enjoy and share my e-book with others. Positive reviews are always appreciated as well. I have received lots of good feedback from my “test readers” ages six years young up to as old as 62. I know readers will embrace these characters, identify with some of their experiences, while being transported into an exciting fantasy world where decisions are made, friendships are challenged, and families are strengthened. Of course it has a positive theme with lots of humor, intermingled with suspense where ultimately good overcomes evil. Readers will want to discover where Laser and Gabby’s next adventure takes them.
