John L. Brekke is one of the nation's veteran executive coaches. He spent much of his childhood growing up on a farm in Northern Minnesota, and started his first business repairing clocks at age 14. He has been a television and radio broadcaster, a high school and college teacher and a college dean. His entrepreneurial career includes owning a real estate agency and a publishing company. He got his start studying leadership as the recipient of a Kellogg Foundation Leadership grant, and now owns his own executive consulting company. For the past 27 years, John has been an executive coach with a focus on leadership skills. He has worked with senior executives of many Fortune 500 companies, including 3M, Honeywell, Pfizer, Wells Fargo, Piper Jaffray, General Growth Properties, Case (CNH), Cigna, United Health Group, and Faegre & Benson. He is a sought-after speaker on highly provocative leadership topics. He returns to tend his small farm in rural Minnesota.
