Jonathan is the Worship Pastor at a multisite church in Greensboro, NC called Mercy Hill Church, where he and his family have been since 2012. His deepest passion is to help people see that God's greatest desire for us (and ultimately the purpose for all humanity) is to wholeheartedly love God and love others. There are a thousand things we can do in the name of faith, but if we have faith and do not have love we gain nothing. The most impactful thing in all humanity was the love of God through Christ's sacrifice on the cross for us. And the most impactful thing we can do in response is to follow Jesus' steps of laying down our lives for others, even for those we might consider undeserving. It was out of his burning passion for this truth that Jonathan wrote his first book, "You Are What You Worship." ​ Jonathan is an avid songwriter and has written many songs including "Good Shepherd," "Out of the Ruins," "I Surrender (Holy Spirit)," and "Your Glory."
