Joseph Sorensen completed his Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and then a Master’s Degree in Personal therapy from Ohio University. Honorably discharged from the United States Air Force after serving his country for five years, he brings over 20 years of experience working in the mental and physical health field. His interests and specialties include serving clients with Grief and Loss, Health Issues, Childhood Trauma, Anxiety, Depression, Meditation, and Spiritual healing. His approach emphasizes the mutual development of therapy goals and the provision of ongoing evaluation of the therapeutic approach. Services can include individual, couples, family, and group therapy across the lifespan. He uses several therapeutic modalities, including but not limited to, Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Reality Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Meditation healing, and Family Systems Theory. A holistic, strength-based, person-centered approach guides his practice reported in his manuscripts.
