Julie Schnieders grew up in Southern California, where her family settled over 100 years ago. As a child her parents took her on hikes in the San Gabriel Mountains and they vacationed at the beach where she collected sea shells and sand dollars by the dozens. Her dad owned an ice cream business and candy shop--a child's dream! Her early childhood memories fostered in her a great love of nature, exploration and, of course, a sweet tooth! Today, she calls Northwest Montana home where her adventure continues The beauty of wildlife, starry skies, and the great outdoors inspire her to write stories about how nature cultivates creativity and curiosity in children of all ages. Julie is married with two children. Her time teaching third grade and junior high piqued her interest in children's books. She is still on the hunt for the next great story!
