In 2019 Karen McMullen woke up at 4 am to sit in the quiet and meditate. She was troubled by her relationship problems and her economic lack. At the time she was in a turbulent romantic relationship and living in a remote beach town on the Pacific coast of Mexico. In the morning stillness, she began to hear a voice, unlike her own, dictating text to her. Since the words were spoken in a formal tone, she wrote them down. Page after page the words flooded through her mind and onto paper. For 4 months she continued to be woken up before dawn to receive messages from the voice, which she later came to understand as her personal connection to God/Spirit. The voice both comforted her and confronted her with the truth of her situation from a spiritual perspective. Listening to the guidance she received, she was able to leave her unhealthy relationship, her town and begin a new chapter. She took these writings to a few friends to see if they were valuable and relevant to others. Those that read them, loved them, and this recognition gave her the power to have the book published, even though she had no audience to read it. This book, Alchemy of Consciousness, spoke of major coming changes and coined the term "The Grand Reorganization." Only a month after it was published the world went into the shock of the global pandemic. Alchemy of Consciousness is a modern text that prepares readers for a time of uncertainty, where having a strong direct connection to Spirit is essential. Motivated by a strong desire to get her book into the hands of as many readers as possible, she started to learn everything she could about social media. She started a YouTube channel, an Instagram account, a podcast "The Human Design Channel." She also began channeling her second book, which is in the publishing process. Recently Karen won second prize in a Hay House publishing competition to have her Human Design book published. She is currently working on writing this book, which will be Human Design for Generators, Manifesting Generators and the People who Love Them. Stay tuned! Karen McMullen is an avid salsa dancer. She has lived in Mexico, the Dominican Republic and Cuba. She is Canadian but prefers the warmth, heart-centredness and aliveness of the Caribbean. She has been a long-time lover of Human Design - a system that uses your birth date to describe your individual traits. She makes a living offering readings and helping her fellow "Emissaries of Light" to express themselves online, so that they too can thrive sharing their gifts.
