Katie Johns has wanted to be a writer for as long as she can remember. The first story she remembers writing was her own Scooby-Doo mystery when she was in first or second grade. Since then, she has taken every opportunity she can to hone her creativity and craft, from creative writing and yearbook classes to writing for the West Virginia State University newspaper and local blogs and even maintaining her own. Thanks to her friendship with her co-author, James Agee Jr., Katie finally sees her name in print! Loving the craft and eager to help others improve, Katie also tutors in writing with the Smarthinking online service.
