Keith Carter’s first dozen years of life were relatively normal (at least for an only child), but in middle school, his lack of experience with girls and his involuntary social isolation dropped his picture-perfect childhood into a brutal abyss of depression. He rediscovered some success with his social and romantic life in high school, and with it some happiness, but remnants of darkness remained. He began college at the University of Illinois Chicago with a reinvigorating sense of optimism, only for it to be shattered again by fraternities and women. His sophomore year brought him into the circle of some of the most socially prolific individuals imaginable. With them, he found his first true sense of confidence with women, but it came with other troubles. Over the next ten years, a few promising relationships crashed and burned for various reasons, and with each one came deep reflection and a surge of motivation for self-improvement. In his book, The Evolution of Game, he shares his journey and the advice he’s learned along the way.
