Gittens was born in the stale depths of Florida, but matured in the urban streets of Brooklyn. Gittens was born a writer, as all of his life he wrote and often illustrated his own short stories. At the age of 10, Gittens was bitten by the fantasy bug, and started a series about a grateful kitten that was adopted into a family that just bought a house... which happened to be built over a Native American burial ground. While he matured, his imagination grew like a virus. He spent countless nights researching myths, fairytales and ghost stories. As Gittens got older, he continued writing and ended up at SUNY Purchase where he obtained his degree in Arts Management, with heavy considerations in creative writing and drama studies. Ever since he was young, Gittens was convinced he was born to either save the world, or destroy it. This belief manifested itself through his writing and eventually graduated to the series,“Divine Apocalypse: The Beginning of the End.”
