Dr. Laila Marouf is founder and Chief Knowledge Officer of the Knowledge Mindfulness Group, a pioneering organization dedicated to evolving and elevating leader's knowledge maturity using the integrative methodology of Knowledge Mindfulness. Dr. Laila holds a Ph.D. in Information Science from the University of Pittsburgh with a focus on Knowledge Management. She practiced teaching as a tenured Professor of Information Studies at Kuwait University from 2005-2022 and acted as the Assistant Vice president for Research and External Collaboration & Consultation and headed the Patents Office from 2015-2019. Dr Laila spent over two decades studying, researching and consulting in Knowledge Management, knowledge sharing and knowledge behavior and has published over 35 peer-reviewed articles. Dr. Laila has received many awards including the Harold Lancour Award from University of Pittsburgh and the Best Young Researcher award from Kuwait University. Dr. Laila is also an integrative thinker with an insatiable curiosity and a deep commitment to tracing connections and building bridges between disciplines, between cultures and between generations. After reimaging her career and seeking new challenges as an author and entrepreneur, Dr. Laila is now on a mission to inform, guide and support other leaders around the world in their own journeys. "I've learned that personal happiness and professional success aren't opposing forces. By evolving toward Knowledge Maturity, leaders can achieve incredible success in all areas that matter to them-from building amazing businesses and impacting the world, to finding peace and fulfilment in their personal lives." Dr. Laila lives in Kuwait with her husband and is the proud mother of two grown children.
