Laura Alden Kamm is an internationally respected teacher, speaker, and author. While studying architecture in her mid-twenties, a near-death experience, caused by spinal meningitis and brain abscesses, transformed her life. Through her personal experiences, academic, and life-long studies in Buddhism, anthropology (emphasizing cross-cultural healing methods), social-psychology, and philosophy she is an innovator in the fields Energy Medicine, structural and medical intuition, meditation, and personal spiritual empowerment. She has developed contemporary conceptual models within these fields that help expand their concepts, our understanding, and their practical applications in daily life. Laura is a global resource, providing public and corporate trainings worldwide, including Dr. Oz’s Integrative Medical Team at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital. Her remote healing skills were vetted in a long-distance healing study for advanced HIV/AIDS patients, sponsored by the California Pacific Medical Center. The study was funded by the NIH, National Institute for Health. She has also studied with Lakota and Yaqui medicine men and woman. She is an expert in decoding the transactional, transformational, and transcendent layers inherent within mystical experiences, spiritual awakening, and the development of intuition. A strong focus is on applying Vipassana and Zen meditation styles as foundational tools to living a balanced life. Her work has spread through word of mouth, influencing and supporting tens of thousands of people from over 130 countries. Laura has been a guest on ABC and Fox News and featured in national and international magazines including Martha Stewart’s Body + Soul, Visjion and Medium (Norway).
