Lauren Candice Johnstone is a graduate of the University of Cape Town. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Media & Writing, Film, and English Studies in 2004 and has been a member of the Golden Key International Honor Society since 2003. Before entering university, she completed a Diploma in Audio Engineering at Cape Audio College in 2000. She’s musically inclined, having played classical guitar from the tender age of 8. In 1999 she received the Trinity College London Music Exam Certificate for successfully completing the grade 8 classical guitar practical. Lauren spent 2.5 years teaching English as a Foreign Language to middle school and high school kids in South Korea between 2008 and 2011. She completed her TEFL certification during this period. Other industries she’s worked in are the media, the film industry, education, and document quality assurance in the pharmaceutical sector. Currently, she currently works remotely as an International Business English Trainer, Transcriber, and Freelance Writer.
