Minnie Dix aka Leigh McKnight was born in South Carolina.She has always enjoyed writing but developed a real love for writing while living in New York and working at Reader’s Digest. After residing in New York for twelve years, Dix returned to South Carolina, to care for her elderly parents, and where she continues to write. Her popular fictional novel, FROM MY FRONT PORCH was selected by Ebony Magazine Book Shelf. In 2006, Dix signed a contract with a New York Publishing company, and that book was re-released in two parts; FROM MY FRONT PORCH and SINNERS NEVER SLEEP. Since then she has written numerous romance books under her pen name, Leigh McKnight. Those books include the SATISFY series and the DAY IN PARADISE series. Minnie has written five books for children; THE OAK TREES THAT TALK, a seasonal collection of 4 books, and a Christmas book, BELCHER, The 10th Reindeer, the Reindeer That Missed The Flight.
