Linda Popky has been writing for as long as she can remember--first poetry, prose, and fiction, then nonfiction, and now for business. For nearly as long, she's been involved with marketing--on the agency side, with corporations, with non-profit organizations, and as a strategic marketing consultant. Over the last several years, Linda has published a series of articles, newsletters, interviews, and blogs that bring a sense of simplicity and order to the swirling world of marketing complexity. But clients, colleagues, and friends have asked for more. The Leverage2Market Mastery Series combines many basic marketing principles with good old common sense, presented within an easy-to-use framework that provides a fresh lens to view the marketing world. Linda is an award-winning consultant, speaker, educator, and author who helps organizations improve their bottom line by more effectively leveraging their marketing investments. She's found that basic marketing principles, properly applied and updated for today's world, can help everyone from individuals and small businesses to non-profits and large Fortune 500 corporations. Linda believes that growing marketing skills and competency is key to developing the next generation of marketers. To that end, she has taught marketing courses for San Francisco State's College of University of Learning, the University of California Santa Cruz Extension in Silicon Valley, and West Virginia University's online Master's in Integrated Marketing Communications. She has also served on advisory boards for marketing programs at San Francisco State and UC Santa Cruz. She is the Executive Director of the Society for the Advancement of Consulting (SAC) and a past president of Women in Consulting (WIC). Linda has also been named one of the top women of influence in Silicon Valley and inducted into the Million Dollar Consultant (R) Hall of Fame by noted consulting guru Alan Weiss. Linda has a long-standing passion for playing the piano, particularly classical music. A resident of the San Francisco Bay Area, she and her family share their home with a small pack of Siberian Huskies.
