Linda Kay Simmons is the author of five Southern Gothic novels. She strives to tap into deeper truths for herself and her readers as she conjures stories inspired by her life experiences including the paranormal. Trauma, loss, and the power of love are the driving forces behind her novels. The goal is to reveal her characters' stories through creative expression, bringing disturbing realities into sharp focus for the purpose of healing and redemption, often in nontraditional ways. Her work is grounded in history but embellished with folklore, mythology, and the mystical. Linda Kay worked as a flight attendant for thirty-one years and then as a mental health therapist. She now spends her time writing, playing with her two precious granddaughters, and dancing. Born in Roanoke, Virginia, she makes her home at Smith Mountain Lake Virginia.
