Dr Miguel Toribio-Mateas is a clinical neuroscientist, nutritionist, and applied microbiologist with doctoral and post-doctoral experience exploring how the gut microbiome shapes brain function and mental health. An Honorary Research Fellow at Cardiff University’s School of Psychology and Senior Lecturer in Nutrition and Public Health at the University of West London, he has spent over two decades making complex science human and hopeful, leading and publishing research that advances our understanding of how nutrition influences gut-brain communication and emotional wellbeing. Known for translating this evidence into inclusive, compassionate, trauma-informed, and neurodiversity-affirming insights, Miguel helps you reconnect body and mind through curiosity, food, and self-kindness.
