Louisiana native Morris Ardoin lives in New York City. His career has been spent with organizations focusing on health care, global migration, family poverty, and education. His first book (out of print), a compilation of immigrant stories for HIAS, the international NGO, provides first-person accounts of survivors of the Holocaust and other historic events that spurred migration to America. His second book, "Stone Motel - Memoirs of a Cajun Boy" (2020/University Press of Mississippi) was optioned for film/tv development in 2021. A third book, "Fix Me a Plate," a cookbook companion to his memoir, is planned for release in 2022. He cohosts the podcast "Queer Voices of the South" on the New Books Network.
