Born in Osceola, Missouri, a graduate of Grand County High School, Moab, Utah, served four years on active duty with the US Navy, being honorably discharged as a Storekeeper Second Class after three tours to Vietnam. Served aboard the USS Princeton LLPH5 and the USS Currituck AV7. Was the founding president of the Weber State Veterans Association while attending college. Graduated from Weber State University in Ogden, Utah. Served as president of the 400 member state wide organization of the League of Utah Writers. Had a newspaper column for many years, writing hunting, fishing, camping, cooking, summer and winter sports for newspapers and magazines to entertain the outdoor enthusiast. Basic areas of interest are true history with an emphasis on the American Civil War, Cooking and Outdoor Adventure.To his credit, two of his fantasy novels have been nominated for production of movies and his book, MORE THAN A JOB, AN ADVENTURE won the coveted Gold Quill Award for Literature.
