Olivia Hayfield is the pen name of award-winning writer, editor, and history nerd Sue Copsey. Her adult fiction, including the best-selling Wife After Wife, a modern-day retelling of the story of Henry VIII and his six wives, has been published internationally by Penguin Random House (US), Little Brown UK, and Hachette Australia/NZ, and her children's books, written under her own name, have won several awards including BBC Best Non-fiction Book, and two Storylines Children's Literature Trust Notable Book Awards. Sue's writing career began in London Zoo's press office. She later became an editor at Dorling Kindersley, before moving to New Zealand where she continues to work as a freelance writer and editor. She has two grown-up children and now ping-pongs between London, UK, and Auckland, NZ.
