Patricia Dusenbury's first book, A Perfect Victim, won the 2015 EPIC (Electronic Publishing Industry Coalition) award for best mystery. The sequels, Secrets, Lies & Homicide and A House of Her Own, were finalists for the EPIC award in 2016 and 2017. Each book is a standalone mystery; together, they trace a young widow's journey from emotional devastation to a rich new life. Patricia also writes short stories, several of which have been published in anthologies. Cold Turkey, published in Flash Bang Mysteries (free on-line), was a 2017 Derringer finalist. She is currently working on several short stories and the first book of a new trilogy, working title, Three Weeks in Geary, which was a Claymore finalist, and is almost finished. Patricia lives with a large dog in a small apartment on a steep street in San Francisco. Although her fiction is all about murder and mayhem, she is a law-aiding citizen who enjoys time with family and friends, gardening, taking the grandkids to the beach, reading and writing.
