Dr. Paul is the world’s leading authority on employee engagement and respect in the workplace and has worked in the field of human resources for over 30 years. Paul earned his doctorate in clinical psychology from Yale University where he specialized in behavior modification and motivation. He has taught undergraduate and graduate courses at Yale, Princeton, and Davidson College on topics including Leadership, Industrial-Organizational Psychology, Survey Development, and Research Methods and Statistics. His McGraw-Hill best-selling business book Carrots and Sticks Don’t Work: Build a Culture of Employee Engagement with the Principles of RESPECT™ has received critical acclaim around the world and been translated into several languages, including Portuguese, Korean, Japanese, Czech, and Farsi. The book provides supervisors, managers, and human resource professionals with dozens of specific, turnkey strategies that lead to an immediate increase in employee engagement and productivity.
