Rev. Martin L. Dunne III, 40, author of several children’s books (details at fathermartinbooks.com ) along with "What Could a Priest Know About Marriage?" (geared for adults of all ages; published by Waldorf Publishing and to be released September 15, 2020), is an ordained minister and parochial vicar at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church and School, a very large church and parochial grade school of the Diocese of Palm Beach in Boca Raton, Florida. There he guides and participates in a variety of ministries, services, and activities each day. He consuls and directs individuals, couples and families. To prepare for the sensitives, intensities, demands, dynamics, and intricacies of priestly ministry (particularly when ministering and helping to heal those suffering from a variety of circumstances over decades of life), Fr. Martin engaged in an intensive seven-year formation program from three fully-accredited institutions: St. Vincent de Paul Regional Seminary in Boynton Beach, Florida (Summa Cum Laude with a Masters of Divinity, Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska (9 graduate credit hours to compliment the 139 credit hours earned at St. Vincent's), and St. John Vianney College Seminary in Miami, FL (Summa Cum Laude with Bachelors of Philosophy). That ministry also brought years of first-hand experiences at churches of all socio-economic backgrounds, ministries which directly ministered to the poor in Miami, Guatemala, and Omaha (including the Boys Town), and hospitals (including Jackson Memorial and JFK Hospital). Prior to seminary he spent a decade living and working in the, “real world.” Those experiences followed the completion of a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting with a Minor in Marketing from Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton Florida (Magna Cum Laude, immediately followed by earning his Certified Public Accountant ("CPA") license). His work as both a private and public accountant involved many companies (most notably Enterprise Holdings (most famous for their "Rent-a-car" division), where he "worked up the ladder" while helping the company survive and grow through a variety of challenges. In his childhood and teenage years he worked as a model and actor, appearing in several dozens of printed and television advertisements for a variety of regional, national, and international organizations, as well as film and TV shows. During his spare time, he applied his business, leadership, editorial, and acting expertise towards a variety of Church and service organizations, most notably the Knights of Columbus, where he led various endeavors at local, regional, and state levels to help and guide others in a variety of needs. These experiences were complimented by his firsthand relationships with God and many others (familial, friendly, collaborative, and romantic). All of this has resulted in a unique perspective on just how deeply God wants everyone to have the best life possible--the prime message Fr. Martin hopes to convey with his books and ministry!
