I got the idea for the Chris Seely series from the old TV show 'Run For Your Life', where the character is saddled with a terminal diagnosis and tries to go for as much gusto as he can in the time he has left. My character Chris has a slightly different psychological make-up, and he twists the concept. For the Pike Gillette Time Travel series, I thought it would be interesting to take a character from a small town All-American high school situation and throw an atypical life-changing event at him.
