Rosa Ventrella was born in Bari and lives in Cremona. She graduated in modern history and received a master’s in school management. She has given several lectures on the condition of women in history and in her novels counts passionately about the feelings and worries of women. She also teaches creative writing. Her novel Il giardino degli oleandri, (Newton Compton, 2013) has sold over 50,000 copies, for months in the charts of the best-selling novels, and is currently being translated in Germany, Poland, Greece, Serbia and Lithuania. Fiori di magnolia, (Amazon Publishing, 2017), for months in the top 100 best selling ebook of contemporary fiction. Storia di una famiglia perbene (Newton Compton) was the literary case of the London BookFair 2018, is currently being translated in 20 countries, the film rights were sold to 11MarzoFilm Production, Emons will soon realizes the audiobook. Her last is The slander (Mondadori 2019), already sold in 12 countries. Film rights sold to Idea Cinema. The new book is Blessed be the Father (Mondadori, marzo 2021), already sold to France (Les escales).
