Samantha Baines is an award winning author, award winning comedian, award winning actress but only an award nominated broadcaster (hey you can't have everything). Samantha wears a hearing aid, is an ambassador for the Royal National Institute for the Deaf and her books feature deaf protagonists with hearing aids. Her debut fiction title for children 'Harriet Versus the Galaxy' won the Coventry Inspiration Book Award 2021 and was listed in the Book Trust's Great Books Guide 2020 and the Best Children's Books of the Year in the Independent. Her next book The Night the Moon Went Out will be published in August 2021 by Bloomsbury. Samantha has appeared as an actress is shows like Netflix's The Crown, Call the Midwife, Silent Witness and CBBC's So Awkward. She has performed sell-out comedy tours and is a regular on BBC Radio. Samantha's podcast The Divorce Club was nominated for Moment of the Year in the British Podcast Awards 2021 and is a number one podcast on iTunes.
