Hi, I'm Shana Lebowitz Gaynor. I'm the author of "Don't Call It Quits," a book that grew out of my role covering careers, leadership, and the future of work as a correspondent for Insider. I think a lot about what it really means to have a job and a career today. While at Insider, I published features including an exploration of gender and racial dynamics within the human resources industry, an analysis of burnout among US workers, and a guide to getting hired at Goldman Sachs. These days, I do editorial work for clients including Harvard Business Publishing, where I help design and write activities for developing leaders. I live with my husband and son in Queens, New York. It’s the same neighborhood I grew up in — though I took a detour through Waltham, Massachusetts, to study English and psychology at Brandeis University and Morningside Heights as a graduate student in English and Comparative Literature at Columbia University. You can always find me lurking on LinkedIn.
