Simon Wroe is a novelist, freelance journalist and former chef. His first book, CHOP CHOP, was shortlisted for the 2014 Costa First Novel Award, longlisted for the Desmond Elliott Prize and won the Society of Authors' Betty Trask Award. His second novel, HERE COMES TROUBLE, was shortlisted for the Bollinger Everyman Wodehouse Prize. He writes arts reviews for The Economist and teaches creative writing at Curtis Brown Creative. He was born in 1982 and lives in London.
