Stella Maddox earned her Bachelor's in Chemical Engineering from the University of Akron in 1998. She left industry in 2005 to stay home with her children. After publication of A Thousand Tiny Cracks, she found her voice on Twitter. She has been featured regularly in The Huffington Post's Funniest Parenting Tweets, which led to her inclusion in Science of Parenthood's The BIGGER Book of Parenting Tweets. She's also been recognized by NickMom and Babble.com in their Funniest Parenting Tweet of the Week selections. In the fall of 2014, she went back to work as an environmental engineer. In addition to writing and traveling for her career, she balances a husband, three children, and three cats. She and her family reside in southern Ohio.
