Being raised in a minimalist lifestyle in rural Vermont gave Theresa an imagination, a love of stories and a love of nature. After graduation, she moved to California, a culture shock. She married and moved back to nature in Washington. Two sweet daughters later she heard a church message that proved life-changing. Theresa used her imagination to write a fiction novel. Because of the distress of divorce, she set the novel aside. She busied herself with college, work, and time with her family. Later, she married Ron. At fifty-nine, Theresa joined a short mission in Malawi, Africa. Afterward, she slept twelve hours a day for three days. Retirement gave time to finish The Captive, the book she started long ago. It’d been twenty-five years since she read it. The story of a hostage falling in love with her rescuer still touched Theresa's heart. At readers’ request, The Captive became The Taken Trilogy series. Book two Identity Lost is based on a remarkable true story. In book three, Trapped, Kathrin gets caught between enemies in Northern Ireland. The Captive is available on Audible. The other two books hopefully in 2024. It’s fun to listen to while washing dishes or taking a walk.
