Zwahk is an author who loves bike rides, baking, and volunteering at the animal shelter. She was born in Virginia before moving to the Pacific Northwest in 1984. After graduating from Snohomish High School, she attended Cornish College of the Arts for a semester before transferring to Everett Community College, where she primarily studied art and painting. Intent on finding a trade, she earned a barber’s license and started working behind the chair, only to discover she had a lot of downtime between clients. To pass the hours, she began writing. She never received a college degree and is entirely self-taught.
