Audible Canada 1st Anniversary Review Sweepstakes
NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT OF ANY KIND IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN THIS SWEEPSTAKES. A PURCHASE WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING.
Please read these rules before entering the Audible Canada 1st Anniversary Review Sweepstakes (the “Sweepstakes”). You agree that, by submitting an entry, you will be bound by these Official Rules and you acknowledge that you satisfy all sweepstakes eligibility requirements.
Eligibility. If you are an individual legal resident of or currently residing in Canada, excluding Quebec, and are the older of 18 years of age or the legal age of majority in your province of residence at the time of entry, you are eligible to enter the Sweepstakes. Our employees and our employees’ immediate family members (spouses, domestic partners, parents, grandparents, siblings, children and grandchildren), and our affiliates, advisors or advertising/promotion agencies (and their immediate family members) are not eligible to enter the Sweepstakes. For the avoidance of doubt, residents of Quebec will not be eligible for this Sweepstakes.
Sweepstakes Period. The Sweepstakes begins at 12:00:01 a.m. (PT) on September 13, 2018 and ends at 11:59:59 p.m. (PT) on September 19, 2018 (the “Sweepstakes Period”). For the purposes of this Sweepstakes, each day is understood to begin at 12:00:01 a.m. (PT) and end at 11:59:59 p.m. (PT).
How to Enter. To enter, during the Sweepstakes Period you must enter via either Entry Method #1 or Entry Method #2 below:
Entry Method #1: Existing Audible listeners who opt in to enter the sweepstakes by writing a review will automatically receive one (1) entry when they submit one (1) review during the Sweepstakes Period after logging in using their Amazon.ca account or Audible username and password. To qualify, reviews must contain “#Audible1” within the body. For clarity, there is no requirement for entrants to purchase a title in order to leave a review and enter the Sweepstakes as described above.
Entry Method #2: To receive one (1) entry without having an Audible account or writing a review, send a 3x5 card with your name, address, e-mail address and phone number to: Audible Canada 1st Anniversary Review Sweepstakes, 1 Washington Park, 16th Floor Newark, NJ 07102.
Limit of one (1) entry per person using only one (1) Amazon.ca account, Audible username and password, or email address during the Sweepstakes Period, regardless of entry method. To be eligible for the Sweepstakes drawing, we must receive eligible entries by 11:59:59 p.m. (PT) on September 19, 2018, except for mail-in entries which must be postmarked no later than September 19, 2018 and received by September 27th, 2018. You may not use multiple customer accounts or email addresses to enter the Sweepstakes, and entries submitted from the same person through multiple accounts will be disqualified.
Mailing List. By entering the Sweepstakes, you consent to being placed on a mailing list for promotional and other materials from Audible. You may update or change your preferences by clicking on “Edit email preferences” at audible.ca/account.
Other Promotions. Please note that we may be running similar sweepstakes at the same time as this Sweepstakes. By entering this Sweepstakes, you will not be eligible to receive any prize awarded in any other sweepstakes unless you enter each sweepstakes separately.
Prize. At the end of the Sweepstakes Period, we will select one (1) potential grand prize winner, five (5) second place potential runners-up winners, and ten (10) third place potential runners-up winners. The one (1) grand prize winner will receive a prize package including the following:

*A collection of Audible merchandise including a fleece jacket, t-shirt, water bottle, and pop-socket (ARV of $175 USD)

The five (5) second place potential runners-up winners will receive six (6) Audible credits each (ARV $89.70 USD)
The ten (10) third place potential runners-up winners will receive one (1) Audible credit each (ARV $14.95 USD).
Prizes will be fulfilled by Sponsor or its respective prize provider agencies. If you are selected as a potential winner, Sponsor or its respective prize provider agencies will use the information you submit in connection with this Sweepstakes to fulfill the prize. All portions of prizes are subject to availability and change and are at Sponsor’s sole discretion.
Winner must have or will need to create an Amazon.ca account in order to redeem the prizes. Redemption of Audible credit swill be subject to our standard terms, conditions and restrictions and such credits will expire 365 days after issuance.
All winners (including runners-up) will be: (a) responsible for paying all costs and expenses related to the prize that are not specifically mentioned, any other expenses that might reasonably be incurred by winner in receiving or using the prize; and (b) will be required to submit his/her social security number or tax payer ID number to Sponsor or its prize provider agency in order to claim the prize so that Audible may fund the withholding. The withholding will be a liability borne by Audible and will satisfy the statutory tax liability that is owed by the prize winner.
Prize Drawing. A random drawing will be held on or about the first Wednesday of October (October 3rd, 2018) from among all eligible entries received throughout the Sweepstakes Period. We will notify the potential winners by phone or e-mail within three (3) business days following the drawing, and the potential winners will be required to sign an Eligibility Statement and Release and correctly answer a skill-testing question that will be provided by Sponsor. Potential winners’ name will be posted as described for Winners’ Name below. We will select alternative potential winners if the potential winners do not claim the prize within 72 hours of notification, or meet the eligibility criteria. Potential winners will not be confirmed winners and will not receive the prize until we verify and approve the potential winners per the procedure outlined above. The prize will be awarded “AS IS” and WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, express or implied (including, without limitation, any implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose).
Odds of Winning. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received throughout the Sweepstakes Period.
Additional Terms. We may, to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law and in our sole discretion, change these Official Rules or cancel the Sweepstakes at any time; or modify, terminate, or suspend the Sweepstakes should viruses, worms, bugs, unauthorized human intervention or other causes beyond our control corrupt or impair the administration, security, fairness or proper play of the Sweepstakes or submission of entries. We are not responsible for: (a) lost, misdirected, late, postage due, incomplete, or unintelligible entries or Audible content plays or for inaccurate entry information, whether caused by you or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the Sweepstakes, or by any technical or human error that may occur in the processing of entries; (b) any printing or typographical errors in any materials associated with the Sweepstakes; (c) any error in the operation or transmission, theft, destruction, unauthorized access to, or alteration of, entries, Audible content plays or for technical, network, telephone, computer, hardware or software, malfunctions of any kind, or inaccurate transmission of, or failure to receive any entry information on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any website; or (d) injury or damage to your or any other computer resulting from downloading any materials in connection with the Sweepstakes. We may, in our sole discretion, disqualify any individual found to be: (x) tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Sweepstakes or website; (y) acting in violation of these Official Rules; or (z) acting in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner or with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person. If your entry is incomplete or if you use robotic, automatic, programmed or similar entry methods, your entry will be void. The authorized subscriber of the e-mail account used to enter the Sweepstakes at the actual time of entry will be deemed to be the participant and must comply with these Official Rules in the event of a dispute as to entries submitted by multiple users having the same e-mail account. The authorized account subscriber is the natural person who is assigned an e-mail address by an Internet access provider, on-line service provider, or other organization responsible for assigning e-mail addresses for the domains associated with the submitted e-mail addresses. No greater than the prizes stated in these Official Rules will be awarded. If any technical errors occur in the selection of the potential prize winners or if more prizes are claimed than the stated prizes being awarded as provided in these Official Rules, we may award the prizes by random drawing from among all eligible claimants.
Miscellaneous. The Sweepstakes is governed by the laws of Canada. The Sweepstakes and all accompanying materials are © 2018 by Audible, Inc., and its affiliates. All rights reserved. If you win a prize, you may not transfer, assign, or redeem the prize for cash. We may substitute a prize, or a component of it with a prize of equal or greater value. Each winner agrees (for himself or herself and his or her heirs) that, by accepting the prize, we, along with each of our respective affiliates and agents (collectively, the “Released Parties”), will have no liability, and will be held harmless by the winner for any liability, loss, injury or damage to property or person, including death, and attorney’s fees and court costs, due in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, by reason of the acceptance, possession, use or misuse of the prize or participation in the Sweepstakes, even if caused or contributed to by the negligence of any of the Released Parties. You agree that our decisions related to the Sweepstakes and the random drawing are final. Winner agrees that, by participating in the Sweepstakes, we may use the winner’s name, image or likeness in any manner and in any medium for our promotional purposes without additional compensation, except where prohibited by law, and we may be required to disclose the winner’s address to state regulatory authorities.

After we confirm the Winners, we will post the winner's names at audible.ca/ep/Rules until March 31, 2019. We will also feature our winners’ first name and first initial of their last name on our Facebook, Twitter and Instagram (facebook.com/audiblecanada, twitter.com/audible_ca, and instagram.com/audible_ca.)

Official Rules for LaineyGossip.com’s “#AudibleBookClub” Sweepstakes

2. The promotion begins on Tuesday March 20, at 6:00 p.m. ET and will continue until Wednesday March 21, at 11:59 PM ET.

Official Rules for LaineyGossip.com’s “#AudibleBookClub” Event
The following sets forth Rules and Regulations governing an in-person event hosted by Elaine “Lainey” Lui at a later-to-be-determined location in Toronto, Ontario on March 20, 2018 during which selected attendees will discuss an audio book selected by Ms. Lui. The discussion will be streamed over the internet in real-time. By attending the event, selected entrants (“Invitees”) agree to have their voice streamed over the internet.
1. THE EVENT: The event is being sponsored by LaineyGossip Entertainment Inc. (hereinafter referred to as the “Sponsor”) No purchase necessary. #AudibleBookClub event draw (the “Event Draw”) begins at 12:00 AM (EDT) on February 27, 2018 and closes at 11:59 AM (PDT) on March 2, 2018 hereafter referred to as the “Draw Period”). Event Draw is open to legal residents of Canada excluding Quebec who have reached the age of majority in the province/territory they live in as of the start of the Draw Period, except employees of the Sponsor and Audible (hereinafter referred to as the “Audible”), their affiliates, subsidiaries, parent or related companies, its advertising or promotional agencies, or persons living in the same household as such employees, are not eligible to participate in this Event Draw.
2. ATTENDANCE: Invitations will be issued in response to entries from interested parties as described in (3. HOW TO ENTER). Invitations may not be sold, transferred and are not convertible to cash. Selected attendees will be provided with a credit for the purchase of the Audio Book to be discussed during the event. Neither attendance nor any benefits associated with attending the event hold any cash value. Sponsor reserves the right to substitute invitations for any reason in whole or in part and for any reason prior to the event. Invitees are solely responsible for all costs not expressly described herein including but not limited to transportation to the venue. The odds of being selected depend on the total number of entries received, as described in (3).
3. HOW TO ENTER: There are three ways to enter the Event Draw. NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. To enter the Event Draw online, visit laineygossip.com and follow the instructions described. Use of any automated system to enter or other manipulation of Event Draw entry procedures is prohibited and will result in the suspected ballot being excluded from Event Draw eligibility solely at the Sponsors discretion. Alternate entry methods can be obtained by contacting the sponsor at jacek@laineygossip.com.
4. SELECTION: To be selected, entrants must meet all eligibility criteria listed herein and will have complied with the official Event Draw rules. Decisions of the Sponsor will be final.
The Sponsor and Audible and their affiliates are not responsible for any problems or technical malfunctions of any telephone network or lines, computer online systems or servers, computer software problems or traffic congestion on the internet or at any website and assumes no liability for damage to entrant’s or any person’s computer resulting from participating in the Event Draw. In the event of a dispute as to the identity of a winner based on an email address, the invited entry will be deemed to be made by the authorized account holder of the email address at the time of entry. “Authorized account holder” is the natural person who is assigned an email address by an internet service provider or other organization responsible for assigning email addresses for the domain associated with the email address in question. The Sponsor is not responsible for late, lost, misdirected, garbled, mutilated, or incomplete entries.
5. GENERAL: The Event Draw is subject to all applicable federal, provincial and municipal laws and regulations. By entering the Event Draw, participants agree to be bound by these official rules and by the decisions of Sponsor, which shall be final with respect to all matters relating to the Event Draw. No responsibility is claimed by the Sponsor or Audible for any loss, injury or death, or damage to property, resulting directly or indirectly from participation in the Event or Event Draw and/or items obtained in the Event Draw, including but not limited to transportation to the event.
6. All entries become the property of the Sponsor and none will be returned. By entering the draw, all entrants consent to the collection, use and distribution of their personal information by the Sponsor for the purposes of running the Event Draw (information is stored for approximately one year). Each entrant will have the opportunity to consent to receive information by email from the Audible. Before being granted an invitation, invitees will be required to sign and return within the time stipulated by the Event Draw Sponsor, a full release and indemnity form in the Event Draw Sponsor’s form stating, among other things, that he/she has read and understood these official rules and regulations (“Rules”), grants all consents required by the Sponsor, authorizes the Sponsor to broadcast, publish, disseminate and/or otherwise use his/her name, city/town/village and province/territory of residence, photograph, likeness, sobriquet and voice and all other indicia of personality, in connection with any promotion and/or publicity, and/or for general news and/or for entertainment and/or information purposes at no additional compensation to the invitee, beyond the awarding of or participation in the applicable Prize, accepts the applicable Prize as offered and releases the Sponsor and Audible from any and all liability of any kind arising out of the potential invitee’s participation in this Event Draw and receipt and/or use of the applicable invitation. The provisions and procedures referred to above relating to selection and notification of a potential invitees shall be applied, with the necessary amendments, until the qualified invitees have been duly selected, but in any event, no later than March 6, 2018.
The Event Draw is subject to all applicable federal and provincial laws. Personal information collected from entrants will be used by Sponsor for the purpose of administering this event. Entrants who accept credits for audio books on their Audible accounts agree to use Audible under the terms of service of Audible and are able to opt-in to receiving any marketing information they consent to during the use of Audible’s service. Sponsor takes no responsibility over the terms of service governing the use of the Audible service. Neither the Sponsor nor Audible will sell, share or otherwise disclose personal information of entrants with third parties, other than to third parties engaged by them to fulfill the above purposes or as permitted or required by law.
By entering the Event Draw, entrants consent to the manner of collection, use and disclosure of personal information as set out in LaineyGossip Entertainment Inc.’s privacy policy, which is available at
7. If, for any reason, this Event is not completed as planned, including but not limited to, computer virus, bugs, tampering, technical failures, weather phenomenon, act of God, or any other unforeseen impediments the Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel or suspend this Event. Any attempt to deliberately damage any website or to undermine the legitimate operation of this promotion is a violation of criminal and civil laws, and should such an attempt be made, Sponsor reserves the right to seek remedies and damages to the fullest extent permitted by law, including criminal prosecution.
8. The terms of this Event Draw, as set out in these rules, are not subject to amendment or counter-offer, except as set out herein.
