loved it definitely don't take the triggers lightly they are there for a reason. It ends on a cliffhanger that has me on my toes I'm so glad I found this book now and not a year ago because I need book two immediately and don't think I could wait longer it was a nice balance of spice and plot

strong FMC who gets to actually be strong

This book is spicy! I expected heat, but the narration turned it up even more than I imagined!! If you enjoy high-steam listens, this one will be right up your alley. For me, the spice occasionally felt a bit over the top, but the voice acting made it immersive and hard to pause. The plot was engaging, and that ending? A cliffhanger in the truest sense, perfectly delivered to keep you thinking about it long after the last chapter. I’m not entirely sure I’ll continue to book two, but I have to admit… I’m definitely intrigued.

All your bloody lies is book one of The Filthy duet by M. L. Burns. Let me start by saying I sucked up this book up, like a succubus life force! This is pure smut and is absolutely delicious!!!
We have a bad a$$ FMC, Xeraphine, a succubus fueled by feminine rage, she is on a revenge path, from a very traumatic past (and I mean this woman is made of trauma!! )
Our MMC is named Kayreese, or Reese Poo, a sexy, tattooed, pieced in the right places, 6'7" stalker vampire, that all you will wanna go is climb him like a tree and never let go. He is THE shadow daddy, the man can multiply and fill everything (yes, I mean everything !!) Kai is just a sassy teddy bear!
Their relationship starts with a bit of a enemies to loves vibes, or better said recurrent enemies to lovers, however is that's sort of the thing, he falls in love at first sight but they will banter and he brings all the sass as she brings all the grump!
I found the plot a bit predictable, but I'm a high fantasy lover so is easy for me to get to certain conclusions, however that doesn't take away that this story is very good!
This book is for sure a must listen/read.
Audiobook: well Holly Shit I kid you not that this was a performance and Savanah Thomas and James Cassidy killed it!! Savanah has this sweet voice, almost like a succubus, sucking you in the story and bringing Xera and all her emotions to life! James was absolutely perfect for Kai, the sass, the jokes the growls absolute perfection!

Ooh this book is so good. It’s all about a sucubi and a vampire…did I mentionned super spicy. Check trigger warnings since they’re some extreme scene but my oh my the chemistry between Xera and Kay…

Reviews of this book were popping up everywhere, so I wanted to see what all the hype was about. It’s good, but maybe not as good as I hoped it would be. At first I found the storyline too sparse. Outside of their sexual interactions, there were only drips and drops of the plot trickling through. I didn’t really get drawn in until later on, but it does get better and by the end I was invested. Although I’m not sure I’m invested enough to listen to the second book when it comes out. The spicy scenes were ok. At first they didn’t feel special. No build up of sexual tension or growing desire, it was straight up get’er done sex. That’s not really my cup of tea, but emotions were brought into the mix as the story went on. I’m not sure if maybe I misunderstood something, but there were multiple instances of the FMC checking her calendar. I’m fairly certain that she references the year 3126 several times. If readers are to believe that this book is taking place 1100 years in the future, very little effort was put into making it seem futuristic. Dudes are still driving corvettes, people are still using cell phones, etc. Descriptions of things seem pretty much the same as now. The narration was good. Loved the male narrator’s voice. Ended on a cliffhanger.

Gets better as the story evolves.
