I DNF because I could not get past the female narrator gasping for breath at the beginning of each sentence. She ruined it for me.

Please please please stop or cut out the GIANT inhale before every sentence. The male narrator was okay and the story was meh.

Double check the trigger warnings cuz this book is DARK! Story was intriguing, the spice is good and gets even better in the second book. Narrators also did an amazing job.

I found the series really difficult to listen to. The BDSM acts described are graphic and more hardcore than I could imagine existed. I kept listening to the series because I needed to know how it ended. It’s a horrible reminder of how powerless women are and how dangerous men are. It made me think of all the high profile things in the news. Honestly, unless you really like BDSM, coerced consent, non-stop SA, and demeaning women don’t open up this Pandora’s box of messed up.
