The whole series was free, so I figured I would give it a try. It’s an okay story mediocrely executed. The narrator’s were ok. The accents were annoying - over stated and unnecessary IMO. The story just got… unbearable. Book one was ok. Book two started with promise, but the writing just got lazy. The FMC became very one dimensional and predictable. Repeating different versions of the same sentences.

I couldn’t finish book two. I just became more and more annoyed.
It’s like a C rated version of SAO. The FMC & MMC have so little chemistry - like watching Jax and Tara.

DNF - so glad I didn’t waste any credits

The female lead who thinks she's a badass is whinny, stubborn, and a dumbass. It mad no sense that the male character would have wanted anything to do with her. The narrator’s voice was as annoying as the character. DFN

Story line is probably great but the person who read the female part is so weird and boring. Sounds like a little girl. Someone else should have read her part. No affection sounds like the robot.

Book 1 already realizing this book series was gonna be meh
Book 2 had some funny moments Bobby and monopoly and Jillian's mom's casserole. Glad this book had some familiar characters.
Book 3 I'm struggling to stay with the story

Couldn't finish the series. Not sure if M.N was in a rut but the last book of Devils Dust to this series was 2-star at best.

male actor sounds irate the whole book. it is too much. female lead is ok. male character is supposed to be a bad boy type as they mention repeatedly but the author forgot to give him some appeal. he sounds like a pig and is really unlikable. hard to explain but it feels like the author must be super young or just lacks life experience.
