À propos de cet audio
We were one and whole. The hands and the eyes of the Goddess on earth. The conduct of the type of power the world was lacking. She had long bestowed us with her blessings so that we could manifest her wills onto the small piece of the land we habited, vowing to carry her energy wherever we went.
I had enough power in my veins to shape my desires into reality. I sacrificed enough blood to earn the respect of the deity and my Coven, so I thought I had everything I needed.
Until the Summer Solstice.
The presence of that man changed everything. He was what demons were made of. The kind of danger I never learned to fear.
I had no idea he was about to change my life.
I was not prepared to see beyond the veil.
And I might not survive it because of him.
Stay is a thriller/fantasy book with slavic references. It mixes supernatural forces and human frailty, showing a world where unseen powers pull the strings. There are graphic, detailed scenes that might linger in your mind, so check out the trigger warning before you dive in. For listeners 18+.
©2024 Thaise Wolff (P)2025 Thaise WolffThe book start off with Yohan, who’s made a deal with a demon named Bies . After that things get messy (and bloody) fast. Then there’s Ava, a priestess trying to deal with her daily problem in her coven while also dealing with her own messed-up desires. Their paths come together with a ton of supernatural elements, but what really hooked me was the Slavic witchcraft and mythology. It added a unique cultural twist that made the whole setting feel fresh and different.
Be warned, though: this book has some serious trigger warnings. We’re talking about violence, emotional manipulation, and a lot of intense, graphic scenes that might be too much for some readers. But if you’re into dark fantasy and can handle it, you’ll be rewarded with an intense, page-turning story.
The characters are flawed, often making terrible decisions that spiral into even worse situations, but that’s part of what makes the book so gripping. It’s raw, and it doesn’t sugarcoat anything, which is refreshing in a way, even when you’re cringing at what’s happening. I was hooked from the start and kept reading just to see how the characters would dig themselves out (or not) from the chaos they created.
All in all, if you’re looking for something that’s dark, magical, and a bit unsettling, this book will definitely scratch that itch. Just don’t go in expecting a feel-good story—this one is more about the shadows lurking under the surface.
